CERTIFIED NURSE ASSISTANT-CNA

This course is based on the American Red Cross curriculum, which is admired across the world. Upon completion and attainment of the required results our students receive certification from our certifying body -Skills Development Council Canada (SDCC). Our curriculum includes classroom instruction for a duration of 4 months and hands-on clinical training (Internship) for 2 months. The course covers work in several settings, including patients’ homes, hospitals and nursing care facilities, as well as how to care for patients with common disorders and illnesses such as diabetes, respiratory problems, and cognitive impairment.

REQUIREMENTS

• KCSE D- or its equivalent

• The Course is examined and certified by Skill Development Council of Canada (SDCC)

HEALTH SERVICES SUPPORT LEVEL 5

Health Services Support qualification consists of competencies that a learner must achieve to provide services in the hospital departments, as well as provide services to patients in healthcare facilities, hospices, and homes.

It involves providing first aid services, applying medical-legal ethics, demonstrating knowledge of common diseases, demonstrating knowledge of organization of health facilities, applying medical terminologies, participating in infection prevention and control, performing hospital housekeeping procedures etc.

REQUIREMENTS

• KCSE certificate of D plain and above or Health Services Support Level 4 qualification
• Examination and certification offered by TVETA-CDACC
• Licensing issued by Kenya Health Professionals Oversight Authority

DIPLOMA/ CERTIFICATE IN PERIOPERATIVE THEATRE TECHNOLOGY

Perioperative Theatre Technologists, also known as surgical technologists, assist surgeons, anesthetists, and registered nurses during surgical procedures. They prepare the operating room, sterilize equipment, and ensure that all supplies are present and restocked.

DIPLOMA /CERTIFICATE IN HEALTH RECORDS AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

Health record technicians organize and manage health information data by ensuring its quality, accuracy, accessibility and security in both paper and electronic systems. Using technology, they classify, code and categorize patient information for databases and registries and maintain patients’ medical and treatment histories.

DIPLOMA / CERTIFICATE IN MEDICAL LABORATORY TECHNOLOGY

This course focuses on equipping students with the practical skills and knowledge needed to effectively operate and manage laboratory settings in various scientific disciplines. Students learn how to handle laboratory equipment, perform experiments, analyze data, and maintain a safe laboratory environment. They gain expertise in techniques such as sample preparation, measurements, quality control, and data interpretation.

DIPLOMA/CERTIFICATE IN MEDICAL ENGINEERING

The Diploma and Certificate programs in Medical Engineering are tailored to provide foundational and advanced knowledge in the field of healthcare technology. These programs focus on equipping students with the skills to design, maintain, and manage medical equipment while adhering to industry standards and safety regulations. DIPLOMA/CERTIFICATE IN ORTHOPEDIC TRAUMA MEDICINE

The Diploma and Certificate programs in Orthopedic Trauma Medicine are designed to train healthcare professionals in the diagnosis, treatment and management of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions. CERTIFICATE IN EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN

The Certificate in Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program equips students with the essential skills to provide pre-hospital emergency care. This comprehensive course covers life-saving techniques such as CPR, trauma care, patient assessment and the use of medical equipment.
