Course Format
The course content will be delivered online through the ELearning Management System. The LMS will be used to deliver
- Video Lecture Sessions
- Lesson Slides
- Lesson Reading Materials
- Assessments – Tests and Quizzes
- Group activities – Discussions and Presentations
Announcements will be posted to the course website and/email accordingly. It is the responsibility of students to check on announcements made in class, on the Course Website, and through email.
Delivery Method: Online
Assessment
You will be assessed through a mix of online assessments and written assignments.
Once each module is complete, you will have to take an online multiple choice assessment for each module.
Individual Class Assignments
- Students are required to submit End-of-Session assignments. Assignments will be issued at the end of each session. Paper-based submissions are to be made by students to instructor.
Interim Assessment
- Interim Assessment (IA) is in the form of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) within the course of learning period.
Written Examination
Written examination / essays will cover all sessions undertaken during the learning period. It forms the major percentage of students’ grading

Requirements
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
An individual entering this course should have any of the following minimum requirements:
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade D (Plain)
- Certificate Level 4 in a related course
Or
- Equivalent qualifications as determined by Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA)
Or
- Equivalent qualifications as determined by Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA)
And/or
- As may be guided by relevant regulatory body.
CERTIFICATION
An individual will be awarded a Certificate of Competency on demonstration of competence in a unit of competency.
To be awarded Certificate in Christian chaplaincy Certificate Level 5, an individual must demonstrate competence in all the units of competency.
These certificates will be awarded by TVET CDACC in conjunction with Breakthrough International Bible College.
